Where can i buy a cheap bluray player for region free use - Blu-ray Forum

Any advise? for potentially playing region b or other blurays plus pal dvds.
Under $100, and firmware or region free hackable.

Good luck! under $100 would be insane for a region-free player.

The Oppos can be made region-free with a $100 hardware mod. The cheapest region-free player was that Momitsu clone, the Sherwood something. But a recent firmware I believe nuked that feature, if I am not mistaken.

It seems to get harder and harder to do "remote codes" or use different firmwares to make your bluray player region free. I made my samsung 1590 region free, but the remote trick no longer works because of recent firmware updates.

Yes you can, I imported a Region A player a few years ago, I needed to buy a power converter/adapter though. Firmware isn't an issue, just download the RA version and install.
