Default Need Some Help - HDMI Snowing!

Ok, got a problem. I got an HDMI switcher Monday so I can hookup my PS3 and my cable box and one more hdmi device to my Dell monitor.

After finding out my first switcher box was not good, I swapped it and the new one is perfect. No issues. I can see my PS3 in excellent clarity. However, my Comcast box will not show any output on the HDMI side.

It will, but only in 720p for about 3 seconds and then the screen turns to snow, lots of it. I can view it fine on component and composite cables just fine. However on the HDMI side, it will not work. Anyone know why? Am I missing something? PLEASE HELP!

just curious, have you tried a new HDMI cable and see if you have the same problem?

Yeah.

I also figured out the problem. The cable box has to be set to DVI out instead of HDMI out even tho it is using HDMI. Otherwise no picture or fuzz will show up. Its working perfectly fine now. Go figure.
