wow..T-Series is releasing Bds quicker than any other bollywood company. But i thought Kurban was UTV release. maybe in India T-Series have rights. I'd rather buy t-series product than UTV, better quality and hopefully no watermarks if it's authorized by Digital Ent.

this came quite out of the blue...

i'm assuming this is the technically India only release, right? I thought the movies that UTV released come out on BIG Home Video blu-rays... Like Wake Up Sid, another Dharma/UTV film, thats supposedly coming out from BIG right?

Gonna wait and see what people say about the quality... and also if this brings any news on the UTV release for the rest of the world.

i personally wouldn't wait for UTV to release Kurban. UTV is not really in the BD market yet, they hardly release anything on bluray. Their last BD (Race) was a disappointment. It wasn't really a bluray material at all. (<--My opinion) .i don't think i want to buy another utv release unless they brush up their picture quality. Whereas, T-series had decent releases except for Dil Chahta hai and some watermark issue. If i were interested in this BD, i wouldn't wait for the UTV release. But definately wait for screenshots and a professional review.

I personally would suggest to everyone that they wait for the UTV version. UTV's version should definately be superior to any T-Series release. Also, more importantly you can rest assured that the UTV version will not have any 'watermarks' or forced/unforced ringtone ads like T-Series does. I personally have far more faith in the company that does authoring for UTV, than I do in the company that has been authoring most of T-Series titles so far. If you continue to buy T-Series Blu-rays with advertisements and 'watermarks', then you are only encouraging them to continue with this abhorrent practise. In any case, the least you should do is wait for a few comments/reviews before you jump into the unknown. I shall try and report back with my comments on the BD asap.

PS: I don't think the 'Race' BD is truelly representative of the quality standards of UTV. Specially considering that 'Race' is a catalog title and that the BD was mastered/authored a long time ago.

Awesome that it's out. Not a fan enough to buy it on BD, but I like that it just suddenly came out. Keeps us from hopelessly waiting.

sanjay maybe there is watermarks problem with this blu ray just chek it out and picture quality of t series is a notch higher from utv's race bd so it can be a good blu ray ......the thing iam not understanding is why kurbaan is more expensive than rest tseries bds its for 999.........!!

We need to clarify some significant things. (before we buy or order)

1. Watermark
2. Supplement(why you raise up the price, T-series? We wanna know!)
3. PQ/AQ

That's it.

I have no doubt the PQ/AQ is good. So far T-Series hasn't let us down there. But the watermark thing is a joke. A terrible one too.

UTV released 'Jodhaa Akbar' and 'Wake Up Sid' should be out soon (hopefully). UTV sold their entire video catalog for 'India' to 'Moser Baer'.

wasnt there a post somewhere that stated t series would stop watermarking from now on..(DCH not included as it had already been authored)..

maybe by us folk not buying their product it has made a dent in their sales and now they are recovering losses by marking up other products haha!

Are you already over the 'Dil Chahta Hai' fiasco?

That was a statement made by only one authoring company (Digital Entertainment) and is limited to only titles authored by them.

Or they just realized that we love their 'ringtone ads' and 'watermarks' so much, that they ought to be charging a premium for them.
