Is this a worthy purchase on bluray?

I caught a bit of it on TV today and remembered watching it in full a long time ago. I'd like to pick it up on bd. However the official review on the site rates the PQ at 2.5...pretty less than stellar.

Should I wait for a re-release? Or just go for it? It was actually re-released this feb., but it seems they didn't bother doing anything with the transfer.

i picked this up on HD-DVD when it was released not because it has incredible PQ or AQ but because it is an incredibly good movie. sometimes we need to go beyond the picture and audio. I saw it in the movies and the 1080p HD-DVD for this movie is (i'm pretty sure) going to be the same transfer on the blu-ray version; and to me theres nothing wrong with the picture. this was one of the best movies i've seen in a while and it might have been the best of it's year; which is why it did so well at the Oscars!

I say buy it because it's a good movie and it does look good. I have no doubt that when my HD-DVD player fails, I wil go right out and purchase this movie on blu.

Personally I found th PQ to be good. You have to realize this isn't a color-popping Disney movie. Many scenes are dark and the brighter scenes often had dark surroundings. If this is your kind of movie then it is well worth the purchase.

Well, I'd say the picture deserves better than 2.5, I'll give it a 4 myself.

* This is an emotional movie, so it has a different strike to it compares to sci-fi and action shooting type of movies. The replay value is taste dependent.
But, it is a Clint Eastwood movie, and a good one too, so...

*** I do have it myself in my HD collection.
