Default *HELP* Receiver not outputting video after power outage

Hello, I bought an Onkyo HT-S7200 HTIB in january, everything working great until today. We lost power for about 4 hours today and when power was returned everything works except my receiver. Its outputting audio fine, but I'm not getting any video. At first I thought it could be my tv, then I unplugged the output cable from the onkyo receiver to my ps3 & my cable box & both work fine, so now i'm pretty sure its the receiver.

It was not powered on and all my equipment is run through a surge protecter. I can't get any video from the receiver to appear on my tv, no menus nothing. Any one have any idea what it could be? Im under warranty for 2 years so it shouldn't be an issue I'm just curious if its just a stupid setting that may have gotten reset and can't seem to figure it out.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

For reference I have my ps3 & cable box connected to my receiver via HDMI cables & then the receiver hooked to my TV with an HDMI cable. All audio is working fine, video is my only issue.

Thnaks

Me honestly believe that your Onkyo receiver has somehow reset itself to the Default mode. Check the "HDMI Audio" from the HDMI menu setup, and select "OFF", that's how Onkyo receivers output the full Audio from the HDMI Audio sources to full internal decoding.
So, again:

HDMI Audio = OFF.

* And let me know how it goes.

Oh, and one more thing, make sure your source is assigned to the proper HDMI input.

And all of these are in your manual, and also in the Menu Setup.
Bonne chance mon ami.

I'm a little confused, its outputting Audio with no problems its the Video I am not getting. I even did the restore to factory settings by holding down the (VCR + Power) combo and I am still only getting audio, all my settings on my tv are still correct HDMI 1 set for input as that is where the cable is plugged in, but I'm not getting a picture. No Onkyo Menu, no cable, no PS3, nothing......I don't see how audio will pass fine, but the video outputting stopped working

On the front of your receiver there is a button called "HDMI OUT", press it and just make sure it is set to "YES".

How's that now?

* Sorry for my distraction.

Try unplugging just the receiver for about half an hour or so, see if the eprom will reset. D.

Thanks, should be in the Setup menu then, under "HDMI Video Out", or some like that.

* Won't hurt either trying another HDMI cable.

As I mentioned before, your video signal processor has failed. It may or may not be linked to the power failure. I had the same problem with my Sony AVR and had the DSP replaced while still under warranty. Contact Onkyo customer service. They will tell you where to get your unit repaired.

See receiver block diagram:

From page 98 of your manual:

Quote:
If the video source is connected to an HDMI input, you must assign that input to an input selector (page 39), and your TV must be connected to the HDMI OUT (page 23).
This is the only thing I can think of that you might try. I sounds like you just don't have the signal paths set up properly, but I can't imagine it would be this difficult to figure out. When you run out of options, then it's probably time to call Onkyo support. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

Yup, I think he might have already try that as was suggested earlier.

this is the very reason that I recently added a Cyberpower 1000VA 600W UPS to my A/V system in conjunction with my current Belkin surge protectors. Everything is double protected. I also bought the same Cyberpower UPS for my computer system replacing my crappy old Belkin.
