besides my son an i having a stomach virus i come to find my car has the following problems

1) alternator isnt charging
2) battery is toast (optima redtop)
3) passenger valve cover gasket is leaking
4) oil pan is leaking
5) trans has a leak by the output speed sensor

Also the new magnaflow mufflers i put have my car sounding like ass

How old is the Optima? They have a good replacement policy. Also, if you let an Optima go flat, ever, don't expect it to hold a charge ever again. That happened to my Optima and they replaced it free of charge.

As for the rest of it, that sucks. Good luck man.

if you are somewhat handy with a wrench, #2 and #3 should be a pretty easy job provided the oil pan removal doesn't require you to lift the engine...

i thought it was the oil pan but it just seemed like it. i put it on the lift and cleaned it all up. turns out to be the front seal, but the front seal comes with the hub.

really? I let my red top go completely dead once before, put a new alternator on the car, jump started it and it has cranked perfectly fine ever since.
