United Kingdom OOP (Deleted) UK titles.

Just wondering if anyone knew of any OOP (deleted) blu-ray titles they may wish to post and share with everyone?

I guess there must be a few Tartan Blu-rays. I think The Seventh Seal is still OOP.

Just a quick question. Theres copies of 'The Seventh Seal' on Play and Amazon (Third Party) sellers, selling for stupid amounts of money, yet I just went and ordered it from HMv for £17. Whats the deal with this? Is it really THAT rare, or something? Eh, if its crap, I'll just sell it and, hopefully, make a mint off it.

Although this isn't really a title, when I bought Watchmen (Theatrical release), it was a special on play which included a little booklet. I sold the blu-ray & kept the booklet. The booklet is called "Watchmen Inside the world of the film".

Here is the item in question:

one thing about Seventh Seal is there were 2 versions--one that contained a dvd copy also and a later pressing that does not.
It's really hard to figure out why they haven't reissued that one like they have several others that were OOP considering the seminal status of the film.
(I sold my sealed copy since I got the Criterion version and basically made my money back)
btw:NHassell: I looked at the HMV listing and it says "usually ships in 5 to 8 days".
my hunch is that even though the listing is up they will not have stock since it is long OOP.
If you do get a copy you are definitely lucky because it definitely is being sold by sellers for big bucks now.
update this thread if it ships.

I actually got sent a shipping notification on Wednesday evening, so hoping it arrives soon. I'm not sure what to do with it. Just sell it straight away, watch it, then sell it. Any advice. I have never seen the film before, mind.

Think I might just watch it, then sell it (providing I don't like it, that is). Any tips on where to start? (Amazon, Play, Ebay, here)

Quickly looking through your collection, I would recommend you sell it on sealed for a decent profit. Its not a film for the casual viewer, and you may find it hard work and boring to sit through.

I am very diverse with films (I wouldn't really call myself a 'casual viewer'; I am a big fan if American Independant cinema), however I did think (from the trailer) it looked a tad boring.

Any reccomendations as to where to sell it on? Amazon, Play, Ebay?

I would say listing at amazon will likely provide a quicker sale, however at play you may be able to make more profit.

I hope I didn't offend with the causal viewer tag, what I meant to say was Seventh Seal is a classic regularly shown for film students studying European cinema (or a complete film buff) and while is does have great artistic value and deserves its coveted place in film history; its not exactly thrilling viewing for the masses.

I got through my film and tv degree without watching any Bergman and only blind bought the blu last year as it was £8 at cex and I had store credit voucher to spend. I can appreciate it for what it is, but in all likelihood it wont get watched again unless one of my friend specifically requests that they want to check it out.

Alright, I'll list it tomorrow . Any idea of what I should start it at? I am not a greedy idiot. I wont list it at £99, like some others. Clearly, no one will pay that.

Ha ha, its fine. I took no offense. I actually studied Film at College. Never got to watch it, so may just ofload my copy, then pick up the (much cheaper) DVD, just so I can see it.

Thank you very much for the advice .
