Default Need help removing sticker residue

One of the steels I received has sticker residue from scotch tape that was used in the packaging. Now there's sticker residue all over the left hand side of the front of the steelbook. Has anyone tried removing this?

I found nail polish remover and a cotton pad works very well. It is a bit of work, but it comes off very clean

Cheers

Goo Gone! I think it's safer than lighter fluid IMO.

After you're done cleaning it. If you have car wax. I would apply it on the SteelBook to bring the gloss back. Just make sure the wax is not abrasive.

Just kidding.
I'm into car detailing so... the paint on the SteelBook better be slick, and shine.
But no, I don't wax them.

I think you mean Nail Polish remover

Nail Polish on his steelbook would not look too great.

I have used nail polish remover on getting rid of stickiness and it gets the job done. I have heard goo gone does it better.

First suggestion is ideal.

I collect records and for many years have used lighter fluid to remove stickers and sticker residues from record sleeves and labels.

I posted in the clone wars thread before that I use margarine, rub some on the residue let sit for half hour or so then buff off with a paper towel or cloth, its all natural never hurts the steel and gives it a nice shine
