I'am a huge Xbox 360 fanboy I will admit it. I do own a PS3 that I play frequently but I just love my 360 more. I told my self I would only buy one motion control system and after what I saw last night and read about this morning Microsoft has failed to deliver any hardcore games to take advantage of. The same friend that was there says that it really felt to him like an eye toy. He said the crowd looked really pissed but they did have a star wars demo that looked decent So there for they better have a decent press conference and show me some games Sony does not offer if they want to stay. I better see some good 1st party Exclusives that are beast are I am ****ing DONE!
I had high Hopes for this thing and from what I herd from a friend that people were actually walking out from the Natal event. They better even show something different about Gears of War 3 some kind of new Gameplay and better not show me Black ops or Assasins creed 2 or and 3rd party exclusives because I can all that with Sony Last edited by xXI GaMe IXx; 06-14-2010 at 12:09 PM. |

I read the SW game is on rails, so you have to wave your arms around at certain points to trigger events to happen - a bit like the old Namco light gun games.
So far ALL the Kinetic games fall under the "party game" umbrella; that aint gonna sell it to the hard core. |

MS probably doesn't give a flying F as far as Kinetic and the hard core are concerned.
There's a huge casual market and MS wants a piece. I wonder if the wii buying publics memory is that short. There's a lot of wii's collecting dust in various houses that I know of. |

I can't see how a hardcore title is going to work.
All of sony's upcoming AAA titles support Move, SOCOM4, GT5, LBP2, etc How is the Kinect going to emulate that? There is no way on earth I'm going to play a racing game with an imaginary steering wheel and then what, I move my feet forward and backwards to accelerate and brake? Come on... FPS? Biggest genre out there, how does that work? maybe I just can't picture it and MS will enlighten me later in the week, but I can easily see how much better an FPS can be with Move - I've already seen it (less accurately) with the Wii and it does work. It is also pretty damn useful having buttons available to switch weapons, etc. I can see Move quickly switching from gun to grenade, then I literally throw the grenade at my target releasing the trigger button to "let it go" - tell me how that works on Kinect? All genuine questions; MS may well have a superb answer and if they do, I look forward to seeing it in action, maybe they are keeping the best till last. |

This will probably take 2-3 generations to get perfected enough that it would be better then a controller/mouse and keyboard. |

TBH, let me preface this by saying I'm the opposite of you, PS3 fanboy, but I never had any high expectations for Move. I mean, when given the choice, gaming is relaxing for me and I don't want to have to wave my arms all over the place for a shooter like SOCOM. I'll still get Move for when I may be in the mood but I never had high hopes for any of the motion controllers.

The Star Wars game looked pretty good. I'm pumped for that and the ESPN stuff as well. Also, my almost 3 year old daughter was watching with me and she went crazy for that kinectimals game. It looked super cute and fun. That adventure game looked good too.

Kinect: Good job my expectations were low...
In Europe we've had EyePet for a while now, uses the EyeCam, you can draw things and the pet makes them real and drives/flies around on them, you can do all sorts of stuff with it and later this year it'll support Move to. |

With the Wii it's a one-time only buy-in price. With Natal, {and I refuse to call it anything else} you have to buy the 360 and THEN the Natal on top of that. Same with the Playstation version Move, anyone who thinks that these will either a} be good enough that hardcore folks would want to play it on a regular basis, or b} will take casual marketshare away from Nintendo are fooling themselves. That was the weakest conference I have ever seen! My daughter loved that animal bit though. What is wrong with Micro do they want to lose to Sony.Only thing that has high hopes that is an exclusive is Gears!Xbox is coming out the living room and going to the bedroom.I hope Sony has more to offer ohh and what the **ck was that all about giving the press free xbox maybe to get good reviews the rest of the year.
I supported you for so long Microsoft and I spit on you! you really have nothing to offer me that Sony can't |

It seems that Microsoft is done with this gen so they aren't exactly going to put all their resources into the 360 anymore. Behind the scenes, most of their dev team is hammering away at Xbox 3.0. I fully expect to see it announced next E3 with a holiday release. Natal, Kinect or whatever it is will be fully integrated into that machine. Think of the 360 addon as a dry run to work out the bugs and give the software devs some extra time with it.
Move for PS3 will probably be the same deal, testing the waters, experimenting with those willing to pay for it. |
