What's your opinion on PQ. Is it plagued with the same problems LAK had. IMHO I think they are using the DPX files allocated for TV broadcasting which translates to changing the settings in BD - RGB conversion instead of YCbCr.

Wow, if that's true, then that's terrible. Indian TV channels usually don't look that great picture quality-wise. Although, I had read somewhere that in India, Dish TV is now offering Zee TV and Zee Cinema in HD. So, Zee had "converted" 250+ Bollywood movies into HD for those channels. I still doubt that they look any better.

Another release I don't really care about. There are far better films that deserve a Blu ray treatment...anyways thats just me...

Keeping that aside, the screenshots are not looking good. At least the first one seems to have the same issues as LAK and appears heavily DNRed..

Now ain't that the truth. Although i think you have totally understated how horrible and crappy all channels in India look due to the highly over compressed picture by all DTH operators here.

The so called 'Zee TV HD' and Zee Cinema HD' are totally fraud channels. They are simply upscaling the regular standard definition 'Zee TV' & 'Zee Cinema' channels and calling them HD. To make matters worse during the upscaling they are also changing the SD channels 4:3 aspect ratio to a 16:9 ratio by stretching the picture. Thus totally distorting the picture and making the channels absolutely unwatchable due to the squished picture. Oh when will god give these idiots some brains.

Wow, I doubt anyone would pay extra to subscribe to those channels. I know they also offer Discovery and National Geographic in HD in India. So, hopefully, they have a point of reference as to what their "HD" channels should look like.

You might want to get your equipment checked because LAK is probably one of the better hindhi blu ray releases. the picture quality was very clear. The color issues a lot of people complained about was only in the flash back scenes which seems intentional to give it that old film feel to it.

If this is on par with LAK, count me in.

+1. I beg to differ with divyansh's comment as LAK being the worst BD ever.

OH. LOL, my bad. You're right. I'm sorry, this is confusing. It's always Akshay + Katrina + EROS. Getting predictable.

ok i agree with the fact that uve watched more blu rays than me.......and ur setup is also good.......mine not too bad either ....... but then such a experienced man like you saying LAK as good bd is strange........it was all messed up on contrast and colors level.......the pq reely sucked......althogh aq was 5n.....the picture was all washed out and lacked the sharpness also.......as apeared on my panasonic pt ae 4000u projector which i think you also have.........

one ques have you watched saawaria wanted don sarkar raj ghajini pyaar immpossible or new york dostana rnbdj.........if yes how does its pq compare with LAK........atleast i was completely dissapointed with it........

also ied posted
screenshot comparisons BLU RAY vs DVD of de dana dan........not to compare details of picture just to compare color contrast levels.....in some other thread chek em out.............

here's a quik comparison b/w LAK and GHAJINI BLU RAYS

rest uve to decide.........ur MORE EXPERINCED.............

one more thing de dana dan screenshots also look like lak........
