Default please help

hi everyone.i have owned an onkyo 805 since they were released and haven't had any problems with it other than the dts bomb that i fixed with a firmware update.until now.i'm having a problem similar to the dts bomb.it does it randomly usually about a 15 minutes or so after i turn it on.it is exactly like the dts bomb but it does it in every codec now.does anyone know how to correct this?i would hate to have to buy a new reciever but i will if this is a costly fix.is the 808 comparable to the 805.i don't want anything less than i already have in terms of features and sound quality.i haven't tried any inputs other than the hdmi inputs, but it does it with bluray,directv,ps3 and so on.please someone give me some advice.every time it does it ,it sounds like a gun is going off in my living room.

Did you change any setting recently?

When did it start to do that exactly? ...And try to remember what you changed in your setup. ...All your cables and wiring are sound? Speakers too?

* The 808 ain't bad at all, you gain some that's for sure, but you lose some too.

So does it only happen when checking cable TV (sportscenter), or does it happen also with Blu-rays and DVDs and CDs?

Are you using a fan on top of it where it's warm over the HDMI video board?

===> Disable the Power Control feature (CEC), and the Immediate Display.

* I'm sure the sound quality of the 808 is 99% similar, just a bit less power that's all.
