That show is amazing but has largely been overlooked by the major award shows. I'm also glad Amy Poehler got a nomination for Parks and Recreation. I was worried voters would have ignored the show after the horrid (but brief) first season. There are some nominees I wasn't fond of. While I'm a fan of 30 Rock and The Office I didn't think either show was great last season (particularly The Office) and it seems like the voters just blindly voted for those shows like they did in the past. I would have loved for a deserving show like Community and some of it's stars to have gotten some consideration. I also can't believe that The Big Bang Theory didn't get a nomination for Best Comedy, but am glad Jim Parsons got nominated again. I read quite a few Emmy predictions and none of them had Nurse Jackie as even a realistic contender for Best Comedy. Finally, I can't believe Chris Colfer got a Best Supporting Actor nomination for Glee. His character Kurt is by far my least favorite part of that show and is one of the biggest reason I might stop watching. I thought Nick Offerman (Ron frickin Swanson) for Parks and Recreation would have been a much greater choice. |

I think either Glee or Modern Family will take the top comedy award this year. 30 Rock just isn't as good as is has been in the past. I think Curb Your Enthusiasm has a chance, but it would be a lot better if the show hadn't aired last summer. Glee and Modern Family both had a lot of nominations and I think Glee will end up winning, despite how uneven the show became in the back 9 episodes.

i gotta admit, i dont watch a lot of the dramas listed, so my opinion isnt really good in those categories, but i do really like hugh laurie and connie britton, they are both fantastic, and i cant believe the big bang theory didnt get a nom for best comedy series, but modern family is right behind it, i LOVE tina fey and jane krakowski in 30 rock, they work really well together |

I usually don't care about the Emmys, but I'm thrilled that Kyle Chandler and Connie Britton (Friday Night Lights), Matthew Fox (Lost), Jim Parsons (Big Bang Theory), and Ty Burrell (Modern Family), and the show Lost got nominated.
I do not think Carrell deserved a nomination. The Jim character from The Office is more deserving if anyone on that show is. |

The Glee nominations are way too many. I account the Glee nominations to a flavor of the month thing. The Emmy's are bad about nominating something on popularity and not actual content. Glee may have deserved some nominations (in my opinion it did not), but I put this number of nominations in the same boat as the Oscars moving their Best Picture category to 10 a pure ratings grab and not much else. I do not think it has a snowball chance in heck of taking the big categories because it not near the level of the other nominees. Glee in my opinion is the most overrated show on TV and I know I am not alone in this.

I agree that the back 9 was much worse than the first 13. I'm going to give it another shot at the start of next season but it won't take much to lose me. I agree that it will win best comedy and it is a lock for supporting actress but I don't think it will get supporting actor or best actress. Hollywood is not a fan of young actors and I could see any of the other Best Actress nominees winning the award (with the exception of Poehler) and I think one of the Modern Family actors will take Supporting Actor, and if they split the vote NPH could take it. I don't see Jon Cryer winning again. NPH was also nominated for guest actor for his role as Bryan Ryan on Glee.
