Default Underrated movies that look and sound excellent on blu in your collection.

Street Kings- This movie is very good. If you're expecting it to be as good as training day, you're going to be disappointed but if you watch it with realistic expectations you'll be pleasantly suprised. Near reference PQ/AQ.

Set it Off- This movie is great. The acting is spot on and it's a movie that looks and sounds like it's budget was at least twice the amount it really was. Great PQ and Sound.

Coming to America- I see many collections full of comedies yet missing this one. This is one of the funniest movies of all time. Must own. PQ is pretty good considering it age (22 years)

Pontypool:

Currently only available on Blu-Ray in the UK (Region Free), this is a fantastic Canadian made horror film. Great acting, great PQ and AQ. Best of all, the film was also made as a radio play, and is a bonus feature on the disc.

The International! A very underrated movie that has reference quality AQ and PQ! The movie was released at the wrong time without any fanfare, but it has the goods.

Midnight Movie. No joke people. I got it at wal-mart for $10. It looks and sounds great on blu-ray. I was shocked when it started.

12 Rounds - If you like 80's and early 90's action flicks, there's no good reason for you to not enjoy this movie. Plus, it has awesome audio and video.

Australia - I haven't really cared for anything else Baz Luhrmann has ever put to film, but this is a fun movie that is a major throwback to films of the 30's and 40's. Not to mention, the PQ is pretty much flawless and the audio is only slightly less than flawless.

Away We Go - I don't see enough people talking about this charming comedy. Both of the leads are excellent, they have wonderful chemistry and there's more than one heartfelt moment to be had, as well. And it has above average PQ and AQ compared to most comedies.

Redbelt - This is a fine film, written and directed by David Mamet. More people should see this movie. Sony's dandy of a blu-ray disc is worth the viewing.

Whip It - Great movie, great cast and it has Ellen Page, who I know has a lot of fans. This is an outstanding disc from Fox.

Batman (1966).

It looks absolutely spectacular - you can see Ceasar Romero's mustache under his white makeup, and every stitch on the great wardrobe.

It's one of the prettiest Blu's I have seen - and it makes me pine for what the Batman series would look like on Blu - but since the rights issues have kept it off DVD, I'm not holding my breath for a Blu anytime soon.

Black Rain-Totally underrated Ridley Scott movie, the PQ is fantastic! I think any Ridley Scott movie goes through a rigorous transfer. I recommend seeing it if you're a fan of 80's movie that are semi-buddy cop and just plain entertaining.

I fully agree with all these Blu-ray titles (I've yet to see "Away We Go" though).

Into The Blue - this movie is totally underrated. I never understood the negative reviews it got. This movie is like my new "Point Break." And it's my favorite pirate film as well. Perfect video and audio on the blu-ray.

...all have stunning PQ. Arguably the highest quality picture on blu-ray (haven't seen Baraka).

Pandorum comes to mind for underrated movies with excellent sound.

Others with incredible sound quality (reference):

Ghost in the Shell
Drag Me to Hell
The Strangers
Stomp
Atonement
