The Walking Dead Season 11 Blu-ray Release & Bonus Content Announced

Fans can watch the epic conclusion of the attempts of Maggie, Negan, Michonne, and the others to survive a zombie apocalypse as The Walking Dead Season 11 hits Blu-ray, Digital, and DVD. Starting on March 14, all 24 installments in the last season of AMC’s former flagship series will hit the domestic market. Fans can buy The Walking Dead Season 11 starting at $59.99 for Blu-ray + Digital and $49.98 for DVD. The domestic release will also come with some deleted scenes as bonus content.

“In the epic final season of The Walking Dead, Daryl and Maggie embark on a risky mission with Negan to root out the shadowy Reapers while Eugene and Ezekiel make contact with the sprawling Commonwealth. To secure aid for Alexandria – their goal – they must assimilate…a tough ask for people who’ve seen no end of deceit, betrayal, and loss. Stunned by the Commonwealth’s resources, the group slowly adjusts to their new home, but they can’t ignore what lurks beneath its seemingly civilized surface. Season 11 consisted of 24 episodes divided into three 8-episode parts. It featured new cast members, including Margot Bingham as Stephanie, Michael James Shaw as Mercer, Laila Robins as Pamela Milton, and Josh Hamilton as Lance Hornsby.

The Walking Dead starred Norman Reedus, Melissa McBride, Lauren Cohan, Cailey Fleming, Josh McDermitt, Christian Serratos, Seth Gilliam, Ross Marquand, as well as Khary Payton and Jeffrey Dean Morgan. It also featured Nadia Hilker, Lauren Ridloff, Cooper Andrews, Callan McAuliffe, Eleanor Matsuura, and Cassady McClincy.

Based on Robert Kirkman, Tony Moore, and Charlie Adlard’s comic series of the same name, the series was executive produced by Kirkman together with Scott M. Gimple, Greg Nicotero, David Alpert, Joseph Incaprera, Gale Anne Hurd, as well as Denise Huth, and Angela Kang, who returned as the showrunner for the final installment.

To each his own, but I could care less what bonus content is included. Looking forward to owning the entire series on Blu-ray. The final season could have been a DVD only release. Can't take anything for granted these days.

I'll be glad to finally have the whole series on disc for posterity, but yeah, surprised by those extras.

For a show that's run as long as it has, and was once the juggernaut that it was, wow, that's pretty mean. I'd have thought at the very least some sort of retrospective. Oh well, "It's the show that's the main thing" I guess.

I'll buy this just to see how it all ends but I pretty much gave up on the series around the seventh season. Still purchased all subsequent seasons and watched them but I don't even remember how season 10 ended. Gonna have to brush up on that season to familiarize myself with it again in preparation for this. Actually, I'm kinda interested and sort of looking forward to the finale. 11 years is a LONG time.

I made it through season 9 and just gave up watching. I'll watch 10 and 11 eventually, but I'm not in any hurry. Once Rick was gone the show started tanking hard IMHO.

I wonder in what direction Frank Darabont would've taken the series had he not been fired after the first season. The series was brilliant and riveting for a few years but Darabont probably would've been a good fit if they'd asked him back for the later seasons. Problem is, would he have accepted an invite?

Like I did for several seasons, lol. I did the same with Arrow, Flash, and other CW type shows. Priced high, but around BF they dropped to $10. Only time to buy them when you know it's going to happen each year anyways IMO.

In this day and age it's almost a semi miracle that we are getting a show complete on Blu-ray. It seems like most go DVD only after starting on Blu-ray or simply get no physical releases.
