Default Definitive Technology Speaker Question

I just got the BP7004 Towers and was wondering if there's a specific one for the left and one for the right? On my boxes both had speaker #2 on it. Thanks for the help.

You should have speaker 1 and speaker 2. If I remember correctly, the built in subs are supposed to face outwards. Speaker 1 has the sub facing out to the left (for left speaker placement) and speaker 2 is the right speaker and has the sub driver facing the outside right. Now maybe you have one box mislabelled but that's unlikely unless the dealer repacked them. Pull them out of the boxes. If both are facing you and the subs are on different sides you're okay.

Both subs are on the left side of the tower. They are both the same. Does it make a difference?

Ok, I'm going to bring one of them back tomorrow and make them give me another one. The one I'm missing even if they have to give me the floor model cause they don't have any in stock. I got them at best buy.

The subwoofers on Def Tech super towers are on the sides. Each pair of BP 7000 and 2000 series speakers are mirror images of each other and are numbered 1 & 2. You can place them so that the subwoofers are facing each other or switch their position so that the subwoofers are facing away from each other. The Def Tech BP2000 manual suggests to experimnt with their placement. They slightly favor placing them so that the subwoofers are facing inward toward each other, unless the speakers are against a cabinet or a big rear projection TV.

Now your in a good spot to talk to the mgr and get a discount for the inconvenience. Be nice, but firm. Don't take a demo, you wouldn't believe what happens to stuff on the floor, or at the very least take the sock down to inspect the speakers.
