Default Bourne Trilogy Magnet question

Sorry if this has been discussed before but I could not find a thread about this topic. I recently purchased the original release of the trilogy on blu-ray and the bourne identity disc froze in the middle of it, so I ordered it separate and new copy works just fine. So I guess my question is that is there any chance that the bourne magnet can ruin a blu-ray disc?

Nope. Magnets do not affect media like DVDs, CDs, or BDs.

You too? Why are so many people having freezing problems with The Bourne Identity Blu-ray? I don't understand.

There have been numerous Universal titles with freezing problems - presumably due to some lack of quality control at the disc manufacturing facility they use. For titles like Death Race, Serenity, Hellboy II, Wanted, Inglourious Basterds, Chronicles of Riddick, and a few others I believe, multiple people on multiple forums have reported hard freezes during playback. In all cases, people have been able to exchange the discs and eventually get one that plays through properly, which would seem to indicate that the authoring of the discs is fine but that one or more bad batches were produced and distributed. It is possible The Bourne Identity is another Universal release to suffer from this problem.

This phenomenon has seemed to disappear in recent months (the most recent Universal release I have heard about it on is Inglourious Basterds), so hopefully what manufacturing problem that existed has been resolved. But I still always make sure to watch any Universal BD releases within the return/exchange timeframe from wherever I purchased so I am able to exchange it easily if a problem does arise.
