Blu-ray Samurai

A few may recall an OLD thread I started long before blu-ray even went on sale. Basically asking that blu-ray should be in those trim-line cases to allow twice the storage space. Face it, all that space wasn't needed. Some argued they could not read the narrow spine.
Well they listened and did one better to keep the spine legible. The blu-ray cases are 3/4" shorter, but just as deep. I can fit 4 blu-ray cases in the space of 3 DVD cases. That is a 1/3 increase in space. (2 DVD cases take the space of one VHS in a trim sleeve.) I'm looking forward to replacing my collection just for the space. Not to mention how beautiful it will look to have a row of blu ![]() What do you think? Think it is the perfect compromise, or would you have prefered the trim ones? |
