Heavy Rain is glitchy...HELP! (The Bear) *Spoiler*

I have had Heavy Rain for about 2 months now...love it but it won't let me get past "THE BEAR" chapter.

[Show spoiler]When I am at the point where he is driving past the obstacles and the car flips over the guard rails and crashes into the side of the road and catches fire the game freezes and I can't just turn off the console with the controller, I can't do ANYTHING with the controller! I just have to turn it off manually and it's really frustrating because this is a kind of "crescendo" moment and I really would like to know how to get past this and continue playing the game. Its been killing me for a long time!

So I got another copy at a Hollywood Video closing a while back for $19.99 and am wondering if I erase the saved game data and just start over with the different disc will I then be able to finally get past this moment?! I need to know what you guys think about this! If you don't think it would help, please help me find a way to get past this glitch!!!!

I had this happen a few times while playing through the game. However, I just needed to turn of the system, restart it, and continue my game. It didn't happen often nor repeatedly at any same point within the game. Unfortunately, if it persists repeatedly, all I can recommend is to delete all game data (both save and data utility files) and start the game from scratch.

I have tried that! But to no avail! But the question is will it do the same thing with another disc?

I have no idea. It's worth a try though. Any small manufacturing defect in the disc could lead to freezing. So, a new disc could prove a different result. I hope it works for you because that game is a lot of fun... especially when you try to explore the numerous different endings.

I have played this game up to that glitch point sooo many times! I reeeealy hope this newer copy will be different!!!!

try deleting your game DATA not game save and reinstalling that always seems to do the trick you will have to re-install the patch too

So, before I saw this post I used my newer disc and deleted the save data and the utility or whatever the other thing was and played the whole freakin thing over again AND as I write this I am UPSIDE DOWN IN A BURNING CAR (in the game)! But it is frozen and OH MY GOD I CANT GET PAST THIS FREAKING FREEZE!!!!

Anyways so you think deleting the data and not the game save and reinstall how would I go about do that, exactly?

Never mind I got it to reinstall... and YEP! it WORKS!!!!!! YOU ARE D MAN!!!

Been thinking about picking this up does the glitch happen on every disk does it vary per console? (launch 20gb)
