United Kingdom Blu-ray organisation help!

Hey, guys.

As some of you may know, I organise my collection by studio > alphabetically by title. I'm not sure if anyone else does that, but what would you then do if you only owned one title by a certain studio? E.G The 'Burbs from Arrow Video. Currently, it sits along the rest of the Universal titles, but sticks out like a sore thumb to me.

I also have the same issues with:
Halloween SteelBook - Starz/Anchor Bay - The only other title I have is Heathers (US) and I keep the US releases separate from the UK ones.
Inbetweeners Movie - 4dvd
Shawshank Redemption - ITV DVD - This one annoys me so much I've almost caved on the US Warner release several times.
Last Exorcism - Optimum Home Entertainment
and
Human Centipede SteelBook - Bounty Films

At one point, I had them all together on a separate shelf, but I've ran out of space now and I have to merge them in with the others, but I don't know how.

On a slightly separate, but still relevant note, what do you guys do with the slightly taller slipboxes that stick out on the shelf a bit? Do you take off the slipbox and leave the amaray on the shelf? Or display the whole thing somewhere?

Thanks!

I keep mine in order of year of production, it's the only way I can sleep at night.

I keep mine in order by the type of case the bluray is in. All of the slips, digibooks, amarays etc. are divided into different sections. It looks nicer on the shelf.

Here's a solution to your Arrow Video problem: buy more of their titles!

I sort mine by studio. My 'Burbs sits with my other Arrow discs.

As said, buy more Arrow

I sort them into TV (Finished Airing), TV (Still Airing) and Film [used to be just TV, but then I ran out of space], and then alphabetically by franchise in each.

I have around 30 titles on the shelf next to my TV in no particular order, the other 250 odd titles are in boxes in a spare bedroom 2977km away.

How I do it is;
TV-alphabetical
Amarays-alphabetical
Slipcovers-alphabetical
THEN by distributor/collection, Arrow, Criterion, Disney etc-alphabetical
Digibooks-alphabetical
Then I have steels in a different room-alphabetical

Easiest way in my eyes, I DID have them by studio (pathe, fox) for about 2 days, then I came to my senses.

I usually put everything together, in the order I buy them because I saw myself having to move 1000 releases to place 2001 A Space Odyssey back in the first place and thought that would be easier.

However, I put "collections" aside and have Criterion all together, Arrow all together, etc etc.

Organize mine by genre and year released, incredibly annoying and OCD like but that's how I roll.

A-Z
TV
Zombie films
Film/director boxsets
Musicals
Animated
Nature/Documentaries
Collectors sets & digibooks

But I've ran out of space again, so also have random recently bought titles sitting sideways in the spaces between shelves. And I've ran out of space to even do that.
Not sure what to do next honestly, the room where the DVDs and blu-rays are stored is basically at capacity.

I don't really have an overall order to my collection...except with my Marvel Cinematic Universe blu-rays.

"Timeline Order"

But with other films, it's normally just release date order.

All of mine are in alphabetical order, except my steelbooks. I have them in a different section.

I'm seriously considering 'random' as my new organising style. Either that or I'll only order blu rays in batches whose titles all start with the same letter.

I have thought about organizing by director and year.
