Default Samsung DLP 3 Blinking Lights

I turned on my Samsung the other day and it wouldnt start up and eventually the three lights in the front started blinking. I tried turning it on again, and it powers up but the picture is really dim. From what info I gathered it is most likely the lamp going out so I went ahead and ordered the lamp online. My main issue is if its not the lamp what else could it be? Could it possibly be the color wheel going out? Or maybe the ballast? Im praying its just a matter of easily replacing the lamp, which I ordered already inside a new housing. What do you guys think?

Your manual should describe what the blinking lights mean. A dim picture could mean the ballast. I doubt if it is the color wheel, when they go it usually sounds like a buzz saw.
