Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon is was released on August 5, 2009 in Japan by Sony Pictures who holds most of the world's rights to the film. The tech specs can be found here on our database. I really dig the artwork for this version. If I ever do get around to buying the Japanese Godzilla Blu-rays, I will be picking this one up for sure. Also, it's going for around $20 USD right now. But with shipping, it'll be around $40. Thanks, Amazon.

It's a shame that Amazon.jp forces us to buy 2 day shipping.

You can save a bit at CDJapan where it comes out to around $34 with SAL shipping.

HMV Japan also has cheaper shipping than Amazon JP and I think they still ship by EMS which is very fast and trackable. Buying 2 or more at a time would still be more cost effective there too when it comes to international orders.

I think the disc itself is basically the same Sony release as everywhere else though so it would just be the cover that's different (and some of the language options). Personally I didn't really like the Japanese cover, got my disc from the UK.
