For those who do not know Lou retired after todays game. He was going to manage the Cubs through the end of the season. But his 90 year old mother is having health problems and he decided to quit early.
As a lover of the game of baseball I will miss Lou Piniella tremendously. He was was a tough,fiery,intense,old school competitor, one of the last of a dying breed. The game will not be the same without him. ![]() Last edited by rick88; 08-22-2010 at 11:25 PM. |

I thought this was going to be a thread laughing at Roberto Lou`Loungo. Nonetheless I`m really dissapointed to see Lou leave baseball. I hope he decides to come back one day. Baseball will never be the same without his freak outs.
