Default Monoprice Sub cable's or Monster?

I just purchased Difinitive technology BP-7004's and I'm going to use the subs in them. I'll use a Y splitter to my Marantz 7002 reciever. Would you get high quality Monoprice sub cables or Monster?

Monoprice gets my vote ! Mine are all from there & would not even consider wasting my money on the Monster cables !

Use whichever one is cheaper, but you would likely be able to save even more money by using the free yellow composite "video" cable that came with your latest electronics purchase.

You won't be able to tell the difference between the cables unless you are looking at them and then you can say "that looks like the Monster cable" but sonically there isn't going to be any difference.

There is no such thing as higher quality or low quality sub cables. It is all about shielding and blocking EMI/RFI interference. Any 6ft to 12ft sub cable above $20 is a rip off. The best sub cables are coaxial cables with good shielding. These cables should have good copper braid shielding with 95% or more coverage and aluminum foil shielding. Copper is better for blocking lower frequecy electromagnetic interference and aluminum is better for blocking higher frequency radio frequency interference. All the the other nonsense promoted by the cable manufactures is cosmetic and window dressing to justify their outrageous prices. Buy Monoprice and read the following thread:

Yeah, the only real upgrade you would get from a standard coax cable would be a balanced cable but as hardly any home A/V gear uses balanced connectors, that wouldn't do much good.

Same here. I might add that Blue Jeans cables are very nice and well shielded. They are a bit more costly than the monoprice though.

Even if I was tempted by the product, which I'm not, I just couldn't bring myself to give Monster any of my money. I can't stand that company and it's business tactics.

I wish I discovered this site before I wasted tons of cash on Monster cable for EVERYTHING. Seeing the deals on monoprice makes me throw up in my mouth due to all the $$$ I could have saved, or most likely have spent on other equipment.

Or you could just make your own. If you have the right compression tool and fittings, you could easily make a sub cable out of RG6. But if you don't have the tools already, it is a hell of a lot cheaper buying a RG6 digital coax cable from Monoprice.

Get the Monoprice. I got their cable and the splitter for like $5 total, and they've worked perfectly for over a year.
