Looks interesting for Levinson, De Niro and the so far excellent Cosmo Jarvis, I'll take a shufty.

Caught it at the Alamo Drafthouse in Boston the other day when I was accidentally locked out of my hotel room for a few hours. It has all the expdcted elements of the genre from those involved but not sure it added much that was new. Levinson's trademark naturalistic dialogue of blokes just yapping and bickering is pleasingly present but I'm not sure really what the point was of having De Niro playing a dual role.

Saw this at the cinema yesterday, slow paced yet has a few bursts of gangster violence and the dialogue was good.

One of those films I knew I’d only ever watch once so made sense to just watch it on the big screen for £6 rather than buy it on blu-ray to be watched just once and sit on the shelf.

De Niro plays a dual lead role with Frank Costello being more calm and almost like a “civilian” whilst Vito Genovese comes off like a little Joe Pesci style loose cannon.

this is actually a good movie. There is enough suspense. Levinson direction is good. pileggi screenplay is good.

DeNiro literally carries this one thru and thru. in both roles. he is just outstanding imo. all the hate deniro is getting for this movie is because he is anti-trump. It has nothing to do with his performances here. He is outstanding.

Not once do you take your eyes off the screen when DeNiro is on screen. Levinson direction is perfect. Dont know how different Scorsese would've directed had he was at the helms. DePalma the same.

skipped the disc on this one lookign forward to it but its £15 on amazon and youtube has it in 4k for £13
