Default Stolen TV, Need Suggestions for Replacement

My house was broken into during the Labor Day weekend. They took the TV, PS3, Xbox 360, computers, passports, and the car. Now that it's gone, I will need to replace the TV and I would prefer to replace it with the same brand, Samsung. I am looking for something in between 40-46 inches and between $700-1000. I saw the LN40B750 and was pretty interested. There was a pretty decently priced LED TV for $849 and I'm not sure if that would be good. If there are other suggestions besides these, please let me know. Another brand name that is comparable to something I suggested is fine too.

Car found. I also gave the serial number of the PS3 to the cops, any help? Thanks.

Update: Right now, I think I might step up to a 46" TV. The LN46B750 may be good, but I could get the LN46C750 for around the same price as that. Any opinions on that? I know it's 3D, but I may not go right into the 3D yet until the glasses get cheaper. The B750 is about $1200 and the C750 is between $1100-1300.

This is just a side note out of the topic but, for those living in the Bay Area, if you happen to find a red 2001 BMW 325ci convertible with the license plate SIEW328... let me know. I also gave the serial number of the PS3 to the cops, any help? Thanks.
Sorry to hear of your loss. Glad I have noisy dogs and nephews and and ex Marine Sgt. that lives next door who I'm good friends with!

Yeah that sucks glad i have a 150# rottweiler, his looks alone i can leave the house wide open and no one will dare come in. To bad he is just a big lap dog that drools. Anyway, go bigger if you can you won't regret it.

Even though its a 2009 model, is the LN40B750 a good buy or one of those under $1000 Samsung LED tvs better?

By the way, the car was found just an hour ago.

I am so very sorry for what has happened to you. I do hope that you can recouperate some of the items that were stolen. I happen to have the Panasonic Viera 50" Plasma and the picture is quite beautiful. Perhaps you should consider it, and you know that with new technology being developed, the prices on a plasma TV have come down.

On a side note: James Cameron used the Panasonic Viera Series when creating the movie Avatar and as you know, that film is incredibly beautiful.

I want to wish you all the best in your pursuit of replacing the items you lost.

Wow what such low lives, it pisses me off people can't earn this stuff on their own so they just got to steal it because they will never amount to anything in life so they got to make others miserable. But hopefully they find everything for you because i know i would be sick if i ever got robbed because they would have a field day in my house as well.

Hey bro, sorry to hear about it. Last year, my car got broken into and they stole my laptop, my gym clothes (I hope they enjoyed the smell), and my music cds. It took me awhile to recooperate because I'm usually low on money but I got a new computer for X-Mas.

I'd keep my eyes open for good deals, and use this as an opportunity to go B I G

EDIT:

Was your car "o.k." when you got it back?
Yes, the car was good. The only problem was that they still have the keys and the alarm was cut, but it still looks like the way I saw it last Friday.

With the upgrades, I will definitely go big. I am planning to buy the Samsung non-LED 3D TV. It's pretty good at $1150.

No, all the movies and games are still here. However, I only have a pretty old backup of my PS3 so I will have to start over in some of the newer games.

I found the LN46C750 for $1397 including the 3D Starter set. Is this a good deal?
