You'll need to go for either the German or Australian Import if you're not region free.

Isn't the German BD the only available Theatrical version of Halloween?

There was some dispute between the uk distributor and someone else as far as I can remember that means this cannot be released on BD in the UK for the time being (although the DVD is - which makes no sense to me).

Anyway, I too wish it was released here along with the massive documentary. I know it's nowhere near as good as the original Halloween (which I love), but it's a remake I actually enjoyed. It' not fair!

Yeah, The German import is the Theatrical version whereas the Aus release is the Dir Cut with the making of doc included.

Such a shame this is not available in the UK. Isn't the Japanese one region locked?

The Australian release is identical to the US release (2 discs, Director's Cut, a 4 hour documentary + several other extras), it's not very expensive, and works fine with your player, since Australia is the same region as Europe, region "B".

Like you, my player is only capable of reading region B titles (or titles that work with all regions), and I own the Australian release.

Any good places to get the Aus release?

I bought my copy at the time it was released from CDWow.
They currently don't list it anymore, but considering my experiences with them on recent orders I'm not sure I would recommend them anyway.

The other only Australian store that I have used is EzyDVD.
They currently have the title on sale (for about 8 euros + shipping), so it might be a good place to pick it up from.
