Would love to be able to import Hot Fuzz, and Shaun of the Dead to the UK. Especially since I don't already own them. Would be awesome if this was used for the cover art:

I ordered from amazon CA once last year. It's OK but don't choose the cheapest way of shipping (if it still exists). That's surface-ground shipping and you'll have to wait for two months for these steelbooks (dented most likely).

2 months? I honestly doubt it. Shipping from Canada takes 2-3 weeks (and vice-versa for us Canadians sometimes when ordering from the US). I can only see it taking that long if amazon.ca runs out of stock.

Surface Mail from Canada to UK is easily 6-8 weeks (in my experience), sometimes longer. 2-3 weeks is the usual time for Air Mail to get here!

I'm picking up Sin City, Kill Bill 1 & 2 and Pan's Labyrinth - this will be around $120 with 4 business day delivery (which is around £19 each including the delivery charge - not bad!).

By that, and other comments, I'm assuming Amazon.ca do ship to the UK - unlike Futureshop. Will be importing after all then. Certainly Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead.

Wow, that's brutal! Its amazing though, since I love ordering from the UK. Always takes 6 days to arrive in Canada. I guess it's not so unbelievable then lol.

Many of the stuff I sent there via Small Packet Air gets there in 1-2 weeks, and I've had stuff get there in as quick 4 business days.

People who live in smaller towns tend to get their stuff a little later.

If you send surface mail from Canada to anywhere like the UK/Europe... it goes by BOAT and takes FOREVER. I learned this in the past year.

Send airmail, or it will take forver, and everyone will get worried when 3 weeks or more go by and nothing has arrived. Save yourself the stress.

I'm not sure why anyone is surprised by the post times using intercontinental surface mail. Canada Post averages 4-6 weeks for international (non-US) surface delivery. Conveniently, boats meet the very definition of a surface vessel, and will remain the only surface option between Canada and Europe (at least until the Bering Strait crossing is built) .

I've just taken the same option to get six of these steelbooks delivered to the UK - with 2-4 day business delivery, it works out to about £18 per Steelbook. Not ideal, and likely to attract customs at that cost, but just about worth it for speedy delivery. Hopefully, it means more chance of them arriving undamaged as well!
