Default Patton question

I know the original Patton bluray was/is the subject of much debate.

I've been collecting bests picture winners on blu and have wanted this for a long time. Ezydvd have it as part of their 2 for $20 deals which is great.

Has anyone heard anything about a region B remastered version coming soon. Should I just just on this version? Are the stories as bad as they say? Interested in opinions.

Cheers
Whitey

the remastered version is noticeably better, but the original release isnt as much of a shocker as some people claim it to be.

When I looked at the original picture I thought it looked good ....but when I looked at the new remastered edition pic I was floored. Damn...hard decision to make...

I guess for $10 I can't go that wrong.

Thanks guys

Thank you, nitin. I've said as much elsewhere and I got raked over the coals. With poisoned rakes.

hehe, another poster has experienced something similar when talking about Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. This time by the opposite of the DNR police, the grain haters.
