Default your strangest movie experience?

yesterday, my theater held a mystery movie, where they showed somthing before realease, but they did'nt tell us what the movie was, as we were about to go in, the ladies in front of us were asked to have there bags checked, no biggy I guess, then when I got to my screen, two guys asked us to hand our mobile phones in, and they searched us. This seemed quite strange, anyway we were treated to 2 hours of star trek which was pure awesomeness.
so the question is what is your strangest movie experience?

Ya, I had a similar experience when I saw both Tropic Thunder / Iron Man early. They requested our cell phones be turned in (I ran back to my car and put in there) and they searched all bags / purses when people got their tixs ripped at the gate.

I think it is perfectly fair to do that (no leaks that way)

Plus hilarious that at the early Iron Man screening, only ten people sayed till the end of the credits and as we were walking out, Doritos was there, handing out free bags of chips and they gave me and my buddies like 5 / 6 bags each.

I watched a guy propose to his gf before the first lord of the rings. She got the one ring to rule his ass for the rest of his life.

Went to the midnight screening of The Dark Knight (IMAX) and a dude also had a seizure in the theatre, they didn't stop the movie surprisingly but it was quite the situation for 5-10 minutes (when Bruce kissed Rachel). I saw it a few nights prior so that was my second viewing.

Also experienced where they take your phones away, coincidently for The Dark Knight prologue and trailer screenings.

To me this is really more cool then strange but anyway...
Back in the "old days" when I was visiting possible college sites, I'd sometimes get to go to their on-campus theaters where they would show older movies for $1. I got to see classics like Pink Floyd's The Wall, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Risky Business, etc... There is just something memorable about seeing certain movies with large groups of people. I'll never forget it.

I forget the movie, but 10 minutes into the movie in a crowded theater everyone hears the most horrible panicked child voice scream,

"SOMEONE HELP MY DAD IS CHOKING!!!"

And sure enough, this girl's dad was choking on some food he was eating during the film. Some guy with godlike reflexes dove across several rows of people and gave the guy the Heimlich maneuver. All this while they stopped the movie and turned on the lights.

In the end the guy was presumably ok, and the guy who was choking and his family left the theater right there a little shook up but alive. Then the move restarted.

Classic

Not many weird experiences during my theater visits. One notable thing: my fiancé fell asleep in the middle of Ocean's Eleven. Guess she must the only woman who ever fell asleep during a George Cloney movie.

A few years back I was watching War Of The Worlds on a rainy afternoon. During the part of the movie where the storm came and the tripods started to rise, BOOM! Thunder shook the theater and the power went out. A few seconds later the lights came on and everyone was looking around and laughing nervously. Everyone joked around for a bit and the movie restarted.

One time a guy with a walker fell down at the top of the escalator, while trying to navigate getting off (tbh I don't understand why if you were using a walker you would try to use an escalator but that's besides the point)...

He was right in front of me, so of course, I am trying to help him back up, and right his walker, AND stop people in the long line behind me from pushing into me (and him)- all while the steps never stop moving. Not one person of the 10 or so behind me could just call down to the ticket taker to ask em to turn it off.

It was my strangest experience at a movie because folks actually yelled at him and at me for holding them up.

The happy ending was he said thanks, and then I went and saw a movie

Indeed, but it is in a way awesome.

I went to a film with a friend and one of her friends and fell asleep and in my sleep kinda snigled up to her friend. I think I kind of odded her out, but alas, it's the only movie i've ever fallen asleep in at the theatres (sex and the city).

going late to a movie that already started walking in dark while sitting by a actor & then when the credits roll as the the movie is finished one person notices that famous person then they all know!....we had to stand there in the theater signing all kinds of dumb crap....Pop Corn Buckets...Shirts...people with there cellphone camera taking photo's...

next day at the theater,i wanted to see a new movie by myself & People Remembered me from jumping in the same Suv as the actor yesterday last night...so in other words,i felt strange that i got in the movie for free this time, people glare'd,people talked...had to entertain playing the 100 question game while complete strangers asking how i was related To who & Who..

strangest experience ever...
