Although that is only for notification on Amazon, so I supose a new pre-order thread wouldn't hurt.

I've only seen a bit of this film and that was at school, whilst waiting to go into the carol service at Christmas, but I enjoyed it so may get it once the price comes down.

Great news, we needed a UK release. I love the cover art as well. I'll most likely wait for a price drop though, considering it's a catalogue title (and unlikely to have a slipcover).

The first minute or so, the image seems a little bit "soft". However, as soon as the film cuts to Gordy in the store the softness goes leaving you with a fine picture. Addditionally, there is grain, but nothing to worry about. Whilst I wasn't expecting a great transfer, I'm more than happy with this one.

It still says 'Artwork TBC' on amazon over that coverart. I have to say I prefer the US coverart as well.

That cover is brilliant. Although I liked the art for the US release, I didn't think it was great.

I think the UK version looks classier than the US version, but either's fine. Seems Sony's doing the same sort of cover for the UK releases of Taxi Driver and The Bridge on the River Kwai.

Well I like the simplicity of the blue US one.

The UK one reminds me of the coverart for Rocky Balboa...

...That's probably why I don't like it. Would have been better if that UK artwork was a slipcover over the US artwork.

I would have said the UK is much more simplistic than the US one.

I too prefer the UK one though as it feels a bit more epic and grand for a 25th Anniversary set; the US one looks like one of those early DVD covers where it was very crowed with actors' names and images/photos all over it.
