Default What would you say to a defiant Blu-ray hater?

"DVD format is much better than Bluray. Bluray is more expensive, and just looks a little better than regular DVD. Bluray is a passing fad."

I was at this forum and a saw this, what would you say?

I would say," I feel sorry for your mother". Lol! j/k. I really wouldn't say anything, they would have to learn the hard way.

Some people just don't care, my brother is indifferent towards blu-rays. Funny thing is, he will watch Setanta all day, and I will mention that I have Setanta HD, and I pay a pretty penny for it, so might as well watch that.

He just says he doesn't care, I put on HD football for a match, and ask him how he can enjoy the black bars on the sides and the blurry little picture with stereo sound. When he could be enjoying his match in beautiful HD clarity with surround sound, he just shrugs his shoulders and says I'm the one who is crazy.

So what do I say? Nothing, I just change the channel.
(Not really about Blu-ray, but I feel HD v. SD cable kinda similar)

That wouldn't bother me. I wouldn't relate but it wouldn't bother me.

People who state all optical media will be gone in 5 years time... That bothers me. Some people seem to know this like they can see the future.

I think I single-handedly buy enough Blu Rays to support the format, and that's all that really matters.

I remember when a buddy of mine had similar thoughts about HD television, and wondered why it was a big deal. So every time he would come over to watch something, I would only show beautiful HD feeds of sporting events, Blu-ray movies, etc.

After about a month, besides my wife wondering why he kept coming over, when it was time for Sunday night football, I put on the std. definition feed when it was gametime, and he quickly questioned what was wrong with the picture. I just smiled and said I thought it might be interesting to "watch" sports in your std definition world for a night. He quickly said to stop joking and put on the HD feed.

I feel the smae about Blu-ray's: Once you get used to watching, it's hard to go back. I still watch DVD's of movies not released on Blu-ray, but just prefer the higher resloution format. Put on a VHS and you'll quickly say WTF when you see what you used to watch a few years ago.

What is your major malfunction, numbnuts? Didn't Mommy and Daddy show you enough attention when you were a child?

Gunnery Sergeant Hartman, much like Ash from Army of Darkness, always has a relevant response to any quote.

Never argue with an idiot, they will just drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

EVerybody has an opinion and he may have his if he wishes. I mean you have an opinion that tons of people do not agree with, look at you avatar and screen name. Let it go, it is not worth arguing over.
