Default Disney movies on VHS - keep?

Was going through some things and noticed we have a huge bucket of Disney movies on VHS. Some never even played. There is ET as well.

I am thinking these might be collector items some day or am I totally off the wall? Should I get rid of them or keep them?

Having a Yard Sale today so I was just wondering.

Ebay them. You might get way more than at your yard sale. If they have never been out the package, that might fetch more money.

I wouldn't keep them. I think the tapes still degrade over time even if they are not played.

you wont make any cash off them unless you've got something incredibly rare. if you like the analog feel of vhs keep them.

Fortunatlly i never bought many vhs movies and those i did buy i always purchased in widescreen....but most vhs movies are fullscreen GARBAGE.

EBAY sounds like an option-i still have some widescreen vhs i haven't gotten rid of...but of corse haven't watched sience my dvd days let alone bd.

Heh - it must have been one of those purists who still prefers vinyl LP over CD.

You could not even give those VHS movies away. Get a donation receipt for them.

or just take a huge magnet and rub it all over them. jk.

if i were you i would get that sealer machine that takes all the air out in this special bag and keeps it fresh and out of harms way forever. u can use that and keep all your rare vhs. then they will never degrade as long as you have it in a dark place. just my 2 cents. if you cant seem to sell them. find some old porno vhs boxes and slip those movies in there instead. u could easily get like 5 bucks a piece for them then, as long as no one looks

If you don't have any children to watch those tapes on an analog display, I say sell them on eBay. You won't get much, but they are worth more than most VHS titles. I have seen 8-track tapes sell for high prices on eBay, so nothing is impossible, but I don't believe VHS tapes will ever have any value.
