Default A8R32-MVP Deluxe BIOS update

Hi all, I have an HTPC that I play my DVD-Audio, itunes and streaming music from. I would like to update to Windows 7, but it seems like I can't do this without updating the bios on my ASUS A8R32-MVP Deluxe motherboard.

I have been able to download the file version 0701 from ASUS, but it's titled 0701.ROM

Any ideas on what to do with this file? How do i install this update?

Rename the bin file to A8R32MVP.bin and copy to a Floppy disk. When you boot your machine, stick the disk in and hit ALT+F2 (you may have to hit it a few times) it should automaticallly start flashing the bios - do not turn off the machine during this process!!!! Or better yet, if your motherboard contains EZ Flash, look at this link http://support.asus.com/technicaldoc...Language=en-us

I got a zip-folder from the asus-download site. The only file contained within the zip-folder is 0701.ROM

There is nothing else in there. Were you referring to changing the file to 0701.bin?

Belay my last - Asus has a new way of doing things. Follow this link and download the utility (its in red on the page) and you should be able to update your Bios within the Windows enviornment http://support.asus.com/technicaldoc...nt.aspx?no=714
