Halo Legends Best Buy Canada

Now that it's confirmed by fellow members and my local BB media manager that we're getting this Blu steelbook as a first BB Canada blu steel it brings a few ideas to mind.

How come nothing was advertised about it ?

Will BB start getting steels and FS also ?

Will we see BB havng them in the future and FS start loosing them ?

What are your thoughts ?

It's good to bring a little healthy competition to the game. It will help give us more Steelbooks than a single retailer could have.

Since there was no advertisement in the flyer (usually it's made about a week or so in advance) my guess is the steelbook was probably a last minute thing and people just started finding out about it mid last week.

At least the media manager at my BB knew what a steelbook was, even said he would put 1 aside for me (I talk to him often and we kinda get along). Said he had about 20 of them but didn't know if it was just blu or both. Hey as long as we get them, BB or FS doesn't matter, but advertising would help a bit.

This is definite steelbook ( I have tried to take these pictures to the best of my abilities. Excuse the low res.)

For OCD collectors:
The sku is different from the Best Buy US one.

$40 + taxes? That's the most expensive blu-ray steelbook to be released in Canada

SKU may be different but it appears the UPC is the same and they have used US packaging(will have 100% confirmation on this in the AM), hence the MPAA rating with tha added Canada rating sticker. They appear identical much like many of the Disney Steels

Yup the packaging (steelbook and the paper insert) look like the US one from what we know right now.

I went to BB today to see if the were on the shelf early or sometimes they are on a cart, the clerk said they will be out tomorrow and they didnt have any steelbooks, she didnt seem clueless like some clerks, but hopefully she is wrong and they have one left after work

Man, I think I haven't stepped into a Best Buy since like Boxing Day. Hopefully my Best Buy has this in stock tomorrow, though it will be hard for me to find some time tomorrow because I have a full day planned.

Do you mean strange that they have it in stock but not for sale? If so, no that isn't strange, Best Buy and other major retailers usually have Blu-ray and DVD titles a week (sometimes two) before street date. They just have to sit in the back of the store in their 'warehouse' and they aren't allowed to put it on the floor or they can be fined. Some Best Buy's make mistakes and put them out a week early, but that doesn't happen all that often.

No I actually meant that in Canada, Blu steels were always a FS affair, never BB. I wonder what that promises for the future

Ahhh, I thought FS meant "For Sale", I should have remembered you guys have Future Shop up there, we don't down here anymore, they went away quite a while ago.

I don't even know the layout of my local bestbuy.
The Best buy rep was kind enough to tell me where the steelbooks would be tomorrow morning.
