Default Almost Bought the same movie twice

Going through the recent sales that have been going on, I picked out a couple of BD's that I wanted ( Sunshine Cleaning and Zombie land) fortunately I noticed Sunshine Cleaning was not region free, so I didn't place an order.
Well I was just going through my collection and I discovered I already had both of them So any one else ordered a disc they already have? or am I the only stupid one out there

You should use the site's collection feature so that you don't lose track

I do a rough inventory every few weeks to a month.

Last month I bought The Thin Red Line from B&N and last Monday (my b-day) someone gave it to me as a present, so I have two copies.

Yep, I've even used my collection list here on blu-ray.com multiple times when I've been at my local Best Buy store - I was unsure if I had already purchased a copy of a particular movie I picked off their shelf, so they let me get online on a computer behind the customer service counter to check my collection list here on the forum to see if I already owned it. Saved me twice from buying a dupe of a movie I already have...

My brother did this. But me, nope. I'd like to think I do have a fair good memory. I usually am bad at recalling small things, like what did I do yesterday, (lol, sad I know) but not when I know what I have at my home.

My memory is too good to make mistakes like that. I bet many of you have locked your car keys in the car.

i could tell you how many blus i own now, how many i used to own, how many i've bought in each month of each year and probably list off in order of purchase about 85% of my blu-rays.

but do i still lock my keys in my car at least once a month and sometimes forget to bring a towel with me into the bathroom when showering?

yep

I guess it depends on how many you have in your collection. If you have so many you can't remember, then that's understandable.

I, however, haven't and never will come across this issue... Unless I do end up having too many. Unless I simply have everything... Though my memory can malfunction on me sometimes. But usually I can remember things like this. My parents have tons of DVDs scattered everywhere and I usually can remember what they have and even where they're at. At least it wouldn't take me long to find one... And my parents are always asking me where a particular title is and/or if they have one. Lol.

I have never done that, but when I am looking at deals online, I sometimes have to look at my collection to see if I have bought certain titles. Little Miss Sunshine and Truman show are two I always forget I own on Blu-ray.
