I think Pirates is being re-released as a combo pack. It'll contain a DVD copy of the movie (annoying bullshit isn't it).

Remastered Gladiator has a yellow UPC code (older Gladiator has a white UPC code).

And also, just for everyone's information... Saving Private Ryan got the same treatment.... white for the original messed up audio version... then yellow for the corrected version.

I never bought Gladiator, but isn't there an exchange program for it??

And regarding S.P.R., that was as easy as returning it to the place you bought it and getting a replacement on the spot with no problem. I did it myself after buying it on release day. The fixed version of S.P.R. was shipped out within a week or 2 of it's release, so if you bought it from a store, like Best Buy, you could have easily exchanged it within the 30 window.

No, actually I love getting the DVD with the BD, since our bedroom DVD player has a repeat function, I use that to play movies when I go to bed. With repeat, the disc doesn't sit, spinning on the menu all night if I fall asleep. Our main BD player has no repeat (that I can find) and our bedroom only has a standard DVD player & a PS3, which I do not use for watching movies.

Other moderately unrelated question, but might as well put it in print now, to be answered when the disks come out:

Assuming these are just up-dumps of the existing '07 disks, is there any chance the old Sneak Peeks will be left on there?
One of the few bright spots of Pirates 3 was that the previews included arguably one of the all-time best Disney Parks ads in 1080--which they can't show anymore since they lost the music rights, and now just do the cheesy soundalike --and if they're just repackaging the old disks, hopefully there's any chance they'll have left the old extras relatively untouched?
