Default MP3 to WAV file?

I have an MP3 file on my computer. If I convert it to WAV and burn that onto a CD will I get higher quality sound? I am sure this has been asked before but I could not find a thread with that topic.

No. The quality will only be as good as the mp3 that you make the CD from.

Nope. That's why MP3 is known as lossy compression, because some musical information is irretrievably lost.

Both well and concisely said.

Different people will perceive audio quality in different ways. To me, there is a definite difference between a CD stereo track (16bit/44.1KHz sampling rate) encoded to mp3 at 128kpbs versus 320kbps. However, I can still hear the effects of compression even at 320kbps.

Save for the much more massive storage space, lossless/uncompressed audio rules!

Rip your original CD to FLAC or WAV then burn...or if you don't have the original CD download FLAC/Lossless rip from fileshare sites then burn them to a CD...

Default This is what I am looking for

Music of Samuel Barber: Adagio for Strings, Op. 11/Orchestral Music; Leonard Slatkin The highest quality recording of this that I can find.My understanding is that St Louis Symphony is one of the best renditions. I bought the MP3 from Amazon
