Default People with unique PSN IDS - Have you seen any?

I ve been on for PSN home for about two years and I have never ever seen people online who have extraordinary IDs such as Chris, Moon, John, James, Elephant, crocodile etc. I tried to add few but never got any reply or acceptance of friendship. I wonder where these people are and did such cool IDs wasted as they no more come to PS3 and they just made these IDs when PSN was launched and they were first to make their desired IDs?

Bear in mind that a lot of PSNIDs were taken during the PS2 era; PSN started up when the PS2 Network Adapter was released. It's an open question about how many of those people still remember their PSN logins (I know I don't, I had one back in the day).

Huh, never knew PSN IDs were continued from the PS2. Makes me have hope that my trophy progress would carry over with a PS4 lol.

It's highly likely, i mean even PS3/PSVita trophies will be viewable on both PS3 and the handheld itself, so i don't know why the PS4 wouldn't aswell.

I saw a guy on XBL who was just named Barry. Turns out, from what I saw from his profile, he was on the service since the very beginning, probably as far as when they first started beta testing the service.

I have no hesitation in saying that everyone has a unique name for PSN!

Ahem...I think the PSN only went as far back as when the PS3 first released. The PS2 online service was simply a non unified service, provided by the 3rd party publishers themselves.

Yes, but my recollection of that period was that - even in the early days - there were no "common" names on PSN, which suggests to me that the naming service grandfathered in some of the logins that were previously being used in the PS2 era for games like SOCOM 2 (and thus why almost none of those logins are seen today).

More to the point, I held an "Icemage" login on PS2. I bought a PS3 on release, and wasn't able to secure the login for PS3 because it was "already taken". It's not exactly a common login, so my guess is that my old login was carried over and never used because I can't for the life of me recall what my password was on my old account.

Why do we want normal names over cool names again? I have DemonRavana without any numbers. In fact, none of my names have numbers. My girlfriend (ex) used to play as SpearofAthena, a name I suggested to her. Guess it's mine now.

Mine's "Nemo3404" add me if you wanna play sometime. I'm #1 in the blu-ray.com community in PS3 games, so we can find something to play.

There are some people who would actually pay for what they consider "rare" names such as Chris or John or even names that have the minimum letters required. I've seen it done with MMOs.
There are even some who when a game first launches, signs up a bunch of times with names like that with a sole purpose to sell them.

Thats called being a douche! Our society as a whole is so selfish and always trying to make a quick buck as opposed to working and trying to help further ourselves.
