Default Is this 3dtv worth it for a starter tv until 3d goes mainstream?

Just wanna break inside 3d without buying a really expensive tv at the moment as i really wanna see if 3d make or break technology first but also wanna enjoy some 3d tv movies.. Im aware its 720p but the ps3 games in 3d are in 720p and also the comcast 3d is in 720p anyways.

Your thoughts? Im looking for actual opinions not bash on the product as that doesnt really help me decide to get this tv for now or just wait out longer. Once again im not interested in spending a whole lot right now as i already have a great 1080p regular tv to begin with that satisfy me aside from not having 3D.

You can get a 60" 1080P Mitsubishi for less than that, which also does
3D.

Thumbs down I passed on it.

I thought about getting that package, until I saw that it was only 720p, I got this TV instead: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Panasoni...=9764162&st=3d It came with Avatar 3D with two pairs of glasses, and a 3D blu ray player.

It's about twice as much!

I'm in the same boat as BluPayne4400-- it seems to be a heck of a deal and I'm definitely considering it. I don't mind the non-1080p because I have another 1080p LCD to use for other movies.

I've never owned a plasma, but I'm definitely intrigued by the better colors and picture quality (from what I've heard). I don't have the best vision anyway, so I'm sure that 720p would still look great for 3D Blu-ray (my main intended use for this TV).

If anyone else has an opinion on this, it would be greatly appreciated!

I can't say that TV is a worth buy or not, but you should test it out and compare it with other 3D TV set in person before you buy it.

What if the TV does poor 3D? You might be better off waiting for a better set with better pricing early next year.

Not sure what the differences are between the 20 and 25, but Amazon is offering the vt25/avatar pack/player for about the same price.

I believe they are the same other than cosmetically.

If I have to buy this set, I would def buy it from Amazon to avoid sales tax.
