Default Medal of Honor

Has anyone played this yet? I just finished the story, and as a military member I'm insulted that they refused to sell it on base. It seems like it was made to honor the military! Any way, it's a good game. A little buggy at times, but still fun.

I have it for the ps3 (as it came with frontlines as well). I have played through the first single player mission, which was far to easy on hard mode (but that is what tier 1 mode is for). The multilayer is alot of fun, but very unforgiving, wihch wont be for everyone, but i'm loving it so far.

I was having a lot of trouble with the multiplayer at first, but now am pretty consistantly going somewhere around 18-0 every match.

How are the maps for multiplayer? Lots of various sizes and terrains? I like variety in my multiplayer gaming.

Fair enough, sorry if I sounded harsh, i've just seen an unbelievable amount of
i die so it's not good posts about the multiplayer its more or less become a knee jerk responce.

Personally I think MW2 wasn't as good as world at war or MW1. But each to tthere own.

Medal of Honor-final thoughts...
OK, so having put enough time into this thing, some observations.
THE BAD:
-It's weighted WAY TOO HEAVY towards snipers. The top 2 or 3 scores in literally every match are always the sniper class. It needs some rebalancing. For example, you're shooting the sniper and getting the hit marker, but it has no effect on his barrel/aim whatsoever. The sniper(even if you CLEARLY fire 1st) almost always wins regardless of their response time. I say that with no bias. I love to snipe and have benefitted from this problem much too often.
-The assault class is worthless. I can snipe from across the largest map w/ an M4A1/MP7A1 on a regular basis but not w/ an M16?
-The upgrades/perks make little or almost no discernible difference(I hear this ALL the time, so it's not just me).
-The weapon selection is a little thin.
-The "veteran" weapons you earn have ARE NO DIFFERENT AT ALL from their counterparts. The accuracy/damage/ROF are identical. What's up w/ that?
-If you join a game and it's a map you don't like, you can't exit. You have to wait 30sec for it too load, and then leave. ANNOYING!
-There's no communication 99.9% of the time between teammates. It's extremely rare you get in a match w/ people talking and working together. The nature of the multiplayer seems to promote an "every man for himself" attitude.
-People come and squat right in front of you when you've already established a camping spot for sniping(ironically, this is the ONLY time you do here people talk-cussing each other out). This is not a knock on the game itself, but a MAJOR pet peeve. Again, the lack of communication facilitates this.
-One of the perks you earn is using enemy weapons. They're 99.9% identical in accuracy/damage/ROF to yours. What's the point then?

THE GOOD:
-The single player campaign is unmatched as far as military shooters go. There's a lot of fun/replay value there(although a bit short).
-The graphics are on this game are VERY good. The maps look fantastic!
-The pacing is fast. Matches tend go quickly(bout 8 minutes roughly). This game will not leave you bored.
-The variety of maps(new downloads came on 11/2) leaves nothing to be desired. Plenty of 'em in every size/shape to keep you from getting burned out.

SUMMARY:I guess I'm a little disappointed w/ this title. It's a good game worth playing, but the high expectations(and probably the COD factor) left me wanting a little. There were more things I didn't like about it than vice versa. In short, I'd say this is a good weekend rental or used copy pick-up.

Medal of Honor is a first-person shooter video game developed by EA Los Angeles and DICE for release on Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. It is an engrossing online shooter with an above-average campaign mode bolted on. As a result, it's a purchase you should only seriously consider if your console is hooked up to the intarwebs.
