I had seen this movie many, many years ago when I was younger but watched it again a couple of years back with my wife before we visited Cambodia. It is a good primer if you ever care to visit Cambodia.
We did all the touristy things to do like visit Siem Reap, but the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum and Choeung Ek we're two of the most psychologically crippling places I've ever been to. I am seldomly left speechless and after visiting these places i was at a complete loss for words for a significant amount of time. These places may not meet everyone's idea of a vacation but I wouldn't trade the experiences we had there for a million carriebian cruises or trips to some all inclusive resorts. I would highly recommend visiting if the urge ever strikes. All that being said... I look forward to this release and will likely import rather than wait for a domestic release.
