Cerwin-Vega's?

I'm looking for a floor speaker "like" a Cerwin-Vega, but without paying Cerwin-Vega prices. Any suggestions?

Any reason you wish to have Cerwin Vega? Budget please. Would greatly help us.

I used to have a pair of Cerwin-Vega 3-way stereo speakers. I can't remember the model, but they had a 12" woofer with the red rubber surrounds. They were very efficient and powerful, but they weren't very accurate.

Yes they are powerfull and very bassy if this the ticket to the OP's happyness in terms of speakers, I'll try work something out to find a speaker to his likings.

What Vegas did you have in mind cause you can find some for 650$ quite easily I think.

From my understanding the VE series aren't very good. I use to have the 8 inch and 15 inch VS series and those were quite good, but i've had no luck finding any VS series...

Maybe i could find a used pair on audiogon.
