well lets cover a few things. What are you trying to accomplish?

Do you listen to music? If so how much?

Do you know what kind of sound you prefer? Bright, Neutral, Laidback?

Do you have speakers now? if so what are they?

Do you have a receiver, what brand, if not, what are you considering?

Sorry for being so vague.

I do listen to music, but watch blu-ray movies frequently as well. I'm basically replacing my current fronts which I feel are dated. I have an Onkyo 705 receiver. Klipsch are normally a good brand and the price for these aren't bad. On a budget obviously.

To answer your original question, Yes these are some excellent speakers and that is a fantastic price. Since your on a budget, your getting a damn good deal.

But, the situation here is, either you love Klipsch or you hate them.

Some people feel that Klipsch are the best with Home Theater but not music. Most people give a percentage of usage, for example, I’m about 95% movies and 5% music(95/5). If your going to use the speakers over 50% for music, then these might not be the ones for you.

I have the Synergy line which is the entry level and they are really good for movies, but the ones you are asking about are far far better then mine.

You have an Onkyo 705 and that would pair up well with the speakers you are asking about.

Don't be clicking the THX settings with those speakers. As they can't do it

Thanks very much for that, I watch movies more than I listen to music and I'm glad to hear these are very good speakers.

The speakers I have right now, were bought off a truck and the brand name is Digital Research whom I can't find absolutely no info on LOL. But yeah, it's time for a major upgrade.

A 30 second Google query turns up a "speaker scam" result.

The Klipsch will be a large step up from those, but my advice is to go listen to them and other brands/lines in your price range.

Cheers.

Good speakers, I sold them for a whole year at work, got to listen to them a few times a week, you need a really good sub with those because you won't be getting a whole lot of bottom end. I prefer the 35s because they sound fuller and can reach lower than the 34s but for that price the 34s will do great for movies. They are efficient which will make your receiver happy, just make sure you have a nice sub to go with them to take care of anything below 80Hz

Jensen speakers are not good quality. They may sound good now, but they will not last. Power Acoustik are a little better, but are not something i would recommend. If you wanted to choose between the 2, go with power acoustik only if money is the an issue, but if not then stick with the Kickers. They will sound amazingly better and will last. You will get your moneys worth with the Kickers
