Blu-ray Samurai

Which one should I buy? I am not expert and the only difference I found is the 2009 release has Video codec: VC-1 and the new 2011 version has Video codec: MPEG-4 AVC so I dont know which one is superior quality wise! The red/blue 3D version tempted me but I dont want to make a bad decision as there must be some reason that they release the new version. Please recommend me which one should I go for and is there a picture quality difference (Major or Minor) in both versions?

This one has already been discussed.
The new release is stereoscopic 3D, which you need a 3D TV and 3D Blu-ray player/PS3 to watch (it also comes with a 2D disc). The original release is just that. A 2D disc, with the option to watch the movie in anaglyph 3D (red/blue). |
