Default Whats wrong with my player?

Recently my Samsung BD player has been giving me problems playing BDs. 1st it would make a LOUD loading noise periodically during play and shortly after (1-3 seconds) the movie would freeze and then skip ahead a few seconds. Just far enough to miss 1 or 2 words.

Now as of last night it will not recognize BDs in the player. It will go from "loading" to "no disk". However it plays DVDs with no problem at all.

Is the unit FUBAR inside or just need a cleaning?

I know samsung sucks for BD players... i have had issues before and its been sent in to service... All I am asking is what would cause this problem and how/if it can be fixed short of sending it back to their service department.

Thank you anyone who might be able to offer any suggestions other then "Buy a PS3"- if i had the cash I would.
