#2 is a total horror B fest. it was actually pretty good, but not for everyone.

Wrong Turn is on sale at Best Buy now for five dollars. It's the same Blu-ray as before, but with the Fox Halloween faceplate cover (meh).

I've been wanting to revisit Wrong Turn again for a couple of years now, since I loved seeing it at the theater in 2003, when it seemed like a breath of fresh air after a decade of Scream movies and PG-13 horror fare. This film has a good old-school approach similar to that of the early 1980s movies that I like, and it's got a handful of classy beautiful actresses thrown in. I do not stumble across this disc often in stores, so I happily shelled out the five dollars today.

The disc reviews all indicate that this Wrong Turn Blu-ray is only a marginal improvement over the DVD, but I'll go with that for the price.

If a Scream Factory Collector's Edition of this film is announced soon, then I guess that I'm taking one for the team.

They also have the 3 pack of 1-3 for $9.99, but without any new faceplate. Great deal, hard to believe I paid $30 for it when it came out in 2009.

I saw Wrong Turn in theatres too and glad I did. I loved it. It's fascinating that a film that only made $15M domestic on a $12M budget managed to get 5 straight to video sequels.

I'm re-watching Wrong Turn now and realized it's pretty much a giant chase scene, and that's my favourite thing about horror movies. The blu transfer is weak but still a great film. The film also turned 15 years old last month.

I revisited the original film last week and, boy, the transfer is atrocious. Aside from the fact it doesn't look HD at all, it's an overall ugly-looking master. Film still packs a punch, though.

I love this movie, simple yet effective. I like how the mountain men's faces cannot be really seen most of the time, I think it adds to the atmosphere.

Shame this is such an ugly looking transfer. I don't think there is anything wrong with the DTS HD MA audiotrack though, always sounded quite nice IMO.

There's nothing original about Wrong Turn but it's a nice, taut throwback to stuff like Just Before Dawn, The Final Terror and The Zero Boys.

It's commendable on that basis alone...the world can never have enough adequately-done backwoods slashers.
