I get DVD's from my local library but I've yet to rent any Blu-rays. I think my nearest Blockbuster is miles away. |

Slightly different to what your asking but I'm glad I watched The Walking Dead Premier on 5HD last night rather than buying the boxset for £25+. It was really well shot and quite tense in parts but it would be something I watch once and then lend out. I will be watching the rest of the series on TV, but will hold off buying unless a 2nd series is commissioned which expands on the series, and the whole boxset is then listed at a reduced price.
As for new films : I'm really not getting chance to rent any let alone buy as in the next few months there are so many classics which I must own that I can't afford to buy anything else - and I only bought a region free player a few weeks ago but can't afford the US discs on top of the UK pre-orders. |

I'm glad I saw Shutter Island before buying, because I was very disappointed with that, after all the hype. |

Bad Lieutenant, the Nicholas Cage version. Only rented it because pretty much every critic gave it a rave review. It was okay, but not the one of the greatest films of the decade.
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. I always say that if you don't like a movie first time round, then wait a while and watch it again. Although there are many out there that don't deserve this advice, and Benjamin Button is one of them. Others were; Batman and the Bourne trilogy. Great films but I rented them to see whether they were worth the upgrade, thankfully they weren't. |

I regret to this day and will regret it for the rest of my life. Biggest waste of £1.00 EVER! It makes Paul Blart Mall Cop seem like Die Hard and it was actually trying to be like Die Hard.... |
