I recently bought a new PS3 slim and moved all my data over via an ethernet cable. Everything transferred fine but now my new system wont recognize the saved data from games. My progress in LBP 2 is saved, but the games keeps loading me with 0% progress, likewise, my DLC from Bad company 2 isint showing up in game either.
Any help would be fantastic. |

I only did the usb stick when I got my slim because I traded in my phat so unfortunately I can't help to much as far as why the data transfer didn't get everything. I've heard the length of the chord can cause issues if it's to long during your transfer. Try the usb stick, plus it's always good to have one handy anyways. Best of Luck !! That's LAME! Sony should make it so that all you have to do is reactivate the account, instead of wasting my (and their) bandwidth and time.

DLC should not have to be redownloaded if u did a data transfer, did u deactivate accout from other ps3 first, i know when i did my data transfer, my LBP save was gone & i had to start over.. maybe this happens with certain games...

Did you use the Data Transfer Utility function to transfer everything over with your Ethernet cable? If so, all of your Saved Data Utility files and BD Data Utility files should have been transferred over. And they should be playable as if you were using them on your old system.
Although, I will say that I had to delete the Netflix file in my BD Data Utility folder in order to be able to watch Netflix Instant Watch after I did my data transfer to my slim model last year. So its possible something funky is going on with the authorization of the DLC files on your slim system. I would recommend that you try the Data Transfer Utility again, or contact Playstation's customer service to have them walkthrough the issue. They're pretty helpful when it comes to dealing with transfer issues. I hope my post helps you out. |

Thanks for the help and tips guys. I used a usb drive and backed-up my profile from my old PS3 (thank goodness I did not delete it) after I saved it to my new PS3 it worked just fine, my guess was that it somehow got corrupted when the transfer was happening.
I also went and re-downloaded the Battlefield DLC, I have not checked to see if it has worked yet however. |
