Default When will Blu-ray have the features of HD DVD?

I am new to the boards and want to get some insight on Blu Ray a little more...so here I go.

I own both Blu Ray and HD DVD (PS3, 360). I have movies in both formats and all around enjoy HD. It's amazing!

My question though is as I continue to buy movies as time roles on, I've been leaning towards the purchasing HD DVD's due mainly to the features they offer.

I.E. HD DVD's "in-movie experience" is just flat out fun and awesome. For those that don't know what that is, it give you the video in video commentary and enteraction within the movie. The Matrix Trilogy was fantastic and so was Dukes of Hazzard as two examples.

I also liked the online features that Matrix offered and what 300 offered. It sounds like most of the HD DVD's now have that i.e. Transformers or are going to have that.

Again, I just like HD movies and I'll keep collecting what ever movie is available in what ever format, but the features are what is drawing me to a particular format right now.

With that said does anyone know if these options are going to be available to Blu Ray users soon, later, or never?

Wow, as an owner of both formats with a passion for HD, I ask a simple question and you throw me under the bridge.

An interesting group of people here. I was hoping more open mindness was here.

If I need to state the record I favor Blu Ray as a whole. I definitely believe it is the format to win.

Jesus Christ people.

Priority #1 Picture Quality.
Extras are pase - irrelavent - not needed/wanted.

So, with the above priorities starightened out... Blu wins!

When will HD DVD get a higher transfer rate and region coding so New Line doesn't delay their titles? (I'll help.....never)

Oh, I guess it's easier for Blu-Ray to pass HD DUD than it will be for HD DUD to equal the capabilities of Blu-Ray.

"Does anyone care what this guy thinks?" - Homer / The Simpsons.

It's not what you said, it's how you said it. I admit the features sounds nice, but I get blu-ray for primarily one reason. Best picture and sound available. Most of us echo that sediment. Extra's are nice, but I don't know a single person who ever bought a movie based on extras. They are always secondary motivations. This is why you can't buy just "The making of.. " DVD's.

With that being said, you best tread lightly here. But seeing how you just told us off, we rest in the knowledge of knowing you will regret your choice. If you are not banned, I say give us another chance. The blu-bloods are warriors at heart. It is their job to protect the women, the children, and to a lesser extent - the namby pambys.

This certainly doesn't indicate leaning towards Blu-ray to me...

I personally feel the original poste on the "whose involved" is dated. Pioneer, Dell, LG, Samsung, HP, all have options for their computers to have HD DVD drives, and or are making/soon releasing HD DVD drives to the market.

Now, I own both Blu Ray and HD DVD, but am starting to lean towards HD DVD only because of the features. I really really enjoyed the Matrix trilogy "in-movie experience". I think if Blu Ray had that it could be a different situation.

Anyway, bdock mentioned Best Buy is starting to sell more HD DVD than Blu Ray...he may have some truth to his comment. After reading this comment last night I asked my brother (who works at the Best Buy here in the town we live in), what he thought about the situation. He did mention both are starting to sell more, but since 300 came out its been more HD DVD. He also said they were constantly sold out of the 300 and even now still are restocking that title, but the 300 for blu-ray isn't moving at all.

Again, my opinion is I don't really care which wins due to the fact that I have both players (ps3, 360), but if I had to choose HD DVD has some really neat features that I wish Blu Ray had.

Any thoughts on that?
So that FUD post isn't yours then?

Facts are facts ladies. I got both systems and are now picking HD DVD. Looks like the studios are doing the same and you are all shitting your pants over it.

Give it another 30 days and Warner's going to announce sole HD DVD production. I'm sure at that point yall are going to start crying foul!

Video and Audio are more important. Watched 10 mins of extras ever. I dont like when some talks during my movie. I also dont care what they have to say.
