Default David Foster and Friends BD

The reviewers of Blu-ray.com seem to forget that BD viewers don't always have Loss-less Audio capability and forget to rate the BD audio for the lossy codecs. For example, the Blu-ray.com review for this David Foster release mentions that the DTS-Master Audio is wonderful with no mention of how the PCM track sounds. I would have to listen to that concert with my Dolby Pro-Logic II setting since I don't have a HDMI capable Amp. I am interested in buying the BD, but have no idea if the PCM track will satisfy.
Does anyone know how good the PCM track sounds on this release??

What's the point in reviewing the lossy audio tracks, when the main reason for buying blu-ray is that it contains HD video AND audio. Most visitors of blu-ray.com are very disappointed if a blu-ray disc doesn't contain HD audio.

It delivers a comparable (albeit two-channel) experience. You should be quite satisfied with the results

Hope that helps. Thanks as always for posting!

Not everyone is able to discard their current 5.1DD Audio equipment and adopt the latest in HD Audio. I do enjoy HD Video on BD, but most cannot afford $$$ to just go out and purchase an HDMI capable receiver just because it is the latest and greatest "flavor of the month" incremental improvement. As with Dolby Surround, Dolby Pro-Logic and Dolby Digital 5.1, 6.1, et al, HD-Master Audio will undoubtedly be replaced by a new and improved Audio codec in the near future.
The question is...will you be duped by the corporate electronic industry into spending hundreds of dollars unnecesarily only to obtain technology that will be deemed substandard as quickly as you can say THX Certified?

I have a question regarding the last post..if you wrote this post in the first place you are obviously questioning the quality of the DD (non hdmi) reciever so i don't think it's a question of being duped by corperate anything, The point of your post is directly asking if your substandard reciever will sound as good as the one that "corporate electronics" is telling the rest of us to buy.

Absolutely. SACD, DVD-A and DTS MA is way above lossy formats in sound quality. I have all of them and will continue upgrading as necessary for anything new. What you must keep in mind is that DTS MA is basically DVD-Audio. So things haven't moved as far as it looks.
